Hyderabad restaurant - Utsav

I wanted to visit this one ever since read about its award winning stories in newspaper.

At the entry of this restaurant, one can see praising comments / views from sachin tendulkar, vvs lakshman etc. The inside structure is good, uses sunlight properly (eco friendly ? Yes). The guests are being greeted with slow music when they eat.

We tried buffet, reasonably priced, All the indian food was quite good including rajma, dal. But one should not try any non-Indian food there. One of the few restaurants which understands difference between north indian dal and south indian sambhar.

Hyderabad restaurant - Rayalseema Ruchulu (the first one at Lakdi ka pool)

Though I have been to the one at Jubilee Hills, I always wanted to go to the first one. I understand that one has got a lot of food awards.

The best thing to order at south indian restaurants is thali - one get to taste variety. Sometimes, you may like one item so your stomach can rely on others.

Comparing taste, quality and variety is obvious when we visit a lot of such places. Food wise, there seem to be no difference in various outlets of rayalseema ruchulu. The ragi rice is the one to go after. It looks lil wierd but really tasty.

Not sure how it got so many awards, I had better thalis at spicey venue, chutneys.

Hyderabad restaurant - Shah Niwas (authentic marvari / gujrati food)

For all those people who crave for marvari / gujrati food, Shah Niwas is the place. Reaching to the place is an exercise in itself. Its on MG road, 3rd lane opposite to the police station.

Not a proper set-up that of a restaurant (ambience wise), but serves simple, tasty and authentic food. One should try different type of rotis like wheat, bajra, jowar, missi etc. Don't forget to have shrikhand, it's yummy.
